Have you seen the new coloring book released recently by Julia Spiri? No? Well you may want to check it out as the images inside are just fabulous. Here is the link if you fancy treating yourself( click here ), but if you're feeling lucky then I have good news- Julia is giving away a copy of the book  in a Facebook share and comment competition over on her fan page. Just click on this link, and go to the giveaway post, comment there and share the post to be in with a chance to win.

The book is a pleasure to colour in, with good quality pages. This page is coloured with Spectrum Noir pencils. I love these cute houses. Wouldn't you just love to live in one!

Thanks for popping by to take a look at my colouring. Don't forget you can also pop to the blog to see what the rest of the team have been up to with some of the images from the book.

Happy colouring!

Creative Artiste July Challenge DT Post Sponsored by Scrapmatts

I have been busy working on some scrapbooking lately, documenting previous generations of my family in an album for future generations to look back on. It's a big task, but I am chipping away at it and my DT project for Creative Artiste Mixed Media Challenge blog has enabled me to get another page done, using elements from our wonderful sponsor Scrapmatts

The rather elegant lady featuring on this page is my grandmother. She is framed with a chipboard frame from Scrapmatts, which I painted and then added gilding wax to. I distressed my my backing paper with walnut stain distress ink before adding adhesive fabric, a stamped doily, and various laces to create layers and a vintage feel. I finished off with a mixture of pre an hand made flowers ( created from old wallpaper samples) , nuvo drops, some metal embellishments and a little Scrapmatts wooden tile that says 'family'.

I hope that my Gran and I have inspired you to join our challenge this month. Anything goes as long as it's mixed media so lots of scope to get creative! I look forward to seeing your projects. And don't forget to click across to the blog to see what my team mates have been making too. Their projects are all amazing!

The Princess of Tea- Julia Spiri New Release

It's new release day over at Julia Spiri and always it's bound to make you smile. This beautiful lady is called The Princess of Tea and you can find her here. Doesn't she just make you want to throw a Summer garden party?

I teamed her up with some shabby chic papers from my stash, which I faux stitched. No tea party is complete without a doily, cake and fancy cups so I added those to embellish.

Crafts Galore Encore July Challenge DT Post

Helloooooo! Wow the last month went fast, but here we are again with a brand new challenge over at Crafts Galore Encore and this month we are sponsored by the brilliant Oddball Art. If you haven't heard of this comapny do check it out. The digis are fabulously unique and a little bit quirky!

I have created a card using Alice the Artist, colouring her with a combination of copics and promarkers. I have kept my card simple this time, layering up some pretty paper and washi tape underneath and adding gems to the punched corners.

We would love to see your entries- it doesn't have to be a card as anything goes.
